My Role

Over the past few decades, there has been an increase in scientific evidence associating the surge in the occurrence of cancer and diabetes amongst the world populace with the use of chemical-based fertilizers, pesticides and other unethical chemicals to enhance the growth and organoleptic properties of agricultural products. I used to wake up every morning with a strong desire to pilot a movement against diabetes and cancer, this prompted me to set up Hollabee ventures Ltd, a company dealing in the distribution and exportation of healthy agricultural commodities.

Food safety is an underdeveloped niche that is still underperforming in Africa due to poverty and ignorance. As a result of poverty, most Africans are willing to buy substandard agricultural products as long as they pass basic organoleptic tests. Food safety is a top priority at Hollabee ventures ltd, this is evident in the rigorous sourcing and testing protocols that have become our primary standard. We test agricultural products for moisture, nitrates, phosphates, salmonella and heavy metals such as lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium before supplying them to our clients.

Amid the challenges that we constantly encounter as an Agricultural product testing, processing and distribution company, we are glad that our resilience has started producing results. In less than 3 years we have been able to sensitive 263 farmers and local traders in Nigeria about the deleterious effect of pesticides, inorganic fertilizer and chemicals such as calcium carbide on human health. After passing through seasons of harsh resistance, farmers in our network have started adopting organic farming practices. In 2020, we commenced production of plantain flour.
